Briyani, Michaelangelo, Pakistan & Bollywood

Earlier today, April 26th, after office hrs, time was aprox 1915LT, i was waiting for BK (not banana kaya you idiots, its BK, my friend) in this restaurant named Real Nasi ntah apa apa ntah Briyani, here in KL, somewhere near Maju Junction, nothing great about the food, really. I was sitting and waiting for both BK and my teh ais, had dad's camera with me today, Why? Im too lazy to explain. Lets skip that. Its a 10 or more year old Canon EOS1000F/n SLR camera.

And came this two Pakistan guys to the table that i was seated, they work there, one was some Bollywood whore hero looking, and the other one looks like Michaelangelo, not the artiste, but the ninja turtle. I noticed Michaelangelo was sweeping the floor earlier.

Bollywood Hero : You speak Hindi? ( i was like what the fuck for?)

Me : No, i dont know Hindi. (Man, my bollywood hero like looks can be really deceiving eh?, ok I'll stop here, i know thats too much.)

Michaelangelo : How much is this crap Canon? Its a good camera. (perfect English he speaks)

Me: Ow, its an old one, its about RM1500 about 10 years ago.

Michaelangelo : Its a good camera, i have 2 Canons myself, one T90, and one more Canon A1, I know about Canons alot because photography was my profession back in Bota Kanan Pakistan. How come there's no market for second hand cameras over here? Everything is new...bla bla bla

Me: o.O (holy crapness)

And Michaelangelo continued sweeping the floor.

See, my mistake was i underestimated Mr. kura kura ninja turtle, but really, how would i know that this guy could speak decent English, he sounded really professional and educated too, he's a photographer (or he was, i dont know). But it really hit me to see him sweeping the floor here in Malaysia. I really pity these people, some of them are really educated, bastard have like double and triple degrees but they turned out to be sweeping and wiping tables here simply because they couldnt find a job in their motherland, its all about survival, they need money desperately, for their family and all. I knew this dude who make drinks in a restaurant near my college, about 3 years ago, a young guy, later i found out he has 2 degrees, one in Hotel Management and another one in Business Admin if im not mistaken. He's working here for shitty 500 bucks. Man, i pity them. Asian countries really need a change.

I suppose we should be really thankful with what we have over here in Malaysia, at least situations are not as bad as some countries like Pakistan, India and also the overnight celebrity Bangladesh.

On another event thats totally not relevant to this post, i had 77 hits in the past 24 hrs. I really wonder who's reading? But 77 is a good start, so yeah...Weeee! :D
